On my 26th birthday, I got a concussion that turned my life upside down and put me on a challenging recovery journey. Around eight months in, through fog, pain, and fragmented thoughts, I wrote the first song on the EP, the title track: Quiet My Mind. It was about feeling stuck as the world went on without me and how I would’ve done anything to get my life back. The following songs on the EP reflect upon my journey through concussion recovery and grief after unexpectedly losing my Mom to a rapidly developing cancer on my 27th birthday. I'm really proud of how these songs have developed in production styles ranging from shimmery cinematic pop to folky americana... the journey to their creation reflects how far I've come in my recovery while learning to balance the light and dark & joy and pain in this life.
